Student Benefits

As a student and graduate of Washington Institute of Natural Medicine’s educational programs a student is entitled to the following:

Free Professional Membership

Students automatically receive free professional Membership with the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association. This organization provides political and business support, advice and information to natural health care practitioners. The Director, Dr. Goldsten, can meet with any student requiring advice and assistance.

Professional Certification

Upon completion of required classes a student can sit for the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association’s (ANHA) professional Certification exams. These exams provide the proper credentials needed to practice many forms of natural health care and complementary medicine therapies. Certifications are available in: Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Acupressure, Holistic Nutrition, Holistic Health, Wellness Counseling, Reflexology, Herbology, Herbal Body Wraps, Hot Stone Therapy, Holistic Laboratory Technology, Reiki, Aromatherapy, and Ear Candling.

Free Employment Services Listing and Professional Certificate

Upon completion of required classes and passing the appropriate certification exams with ANHA students can sign up for a free listing with the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine’s employment services division. Upon listing with the division the student can receive a professional certificate within their designated natural health care profession.

Free Advice for New Graduates

Upon opening up a new practice or beginning to work as a natural health care professional graduates may find they need advice from experienced practitioners. Dr. Jen Martinez and Dr. Victoria Goldsten are available to consult with any graduate needing advice on clinical cases, office procedure, and business strategies.

Free Guidance in Obtaining Professional Liability Insurance

Each natural health care profession is regulated and viewed differently by local jurisdictions and insurance agencies. Our Director, Dr. Goldsten has had many years of experience in these areas and can help assist you.

Doctor of Naturopathy or Homeopathy Degree Experiential Learning Credit

First National University and the United States School of Naturopathy grant experiential learning credit for classes and training offered by the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine, Holistic Services Agency, and the American Naturopathic and Holistic Association. Free Consultation Regarding Local Metropolitan Area Requirements

Each natural health care profession is viewed differently by local governmental bodies. Dr. Goldsten can review with you the guideline information she has obtained through her contacts with many licensing and review boards in the metro area.

Preparation for National Certification

WINM prepares students for national certification in Reflexology and Nutrition.
